About Our School

At Pippins, we pride ourselves on having a highly skilled and dedicated team. Our Manager
and Deputy Manager both hold Foundation Degrees in Early Years Childcare and
Education. We also have three qualified staff members, including one currently completing a
Level 3 Apprenticeship, and one staff member who is working towards their Level 2
qualification.

All our staff undergo enhanced DBS checks, have a strong understanding of Safeguarding,
and are trained in First Aid to ensure the safety and well-being of every child.

We maintain a high adult to child ratio, with one adult for every four 2 year olds, and one
adult for every six 3 and 4 year olds.

Additionally, our Group SENDCo has completed the Level 3 Award for Early Years SEN
Coordination and is fully certified as an Early Years SENDCo, ensuring we can offer tailored
support to children with special educational needs.

If you're interested in your child attending Pippins Pre-School or to arrange a tour of our

email, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

We offer show-around visits during term time, where you can ask any questions and receive
our prospectus, terms and conditions, and registration form.

If you’d like to proceed with registering your child, simply complete and return the
registration form along with the admin fee to secure your child’s place. We will confirm
everything via email.

We will then reach out to arrange a home visit early in the term your child is due to start.
During this visit, we’ll go over any formalities, discuss your child’s attendance schedule,
confirm the start date, and arrange any settling-in sessions if needed.

FAQ

Choosing the right Pre-School for your child is such an important decision, which is why we have
compiled a list of FAQs to help answer those all-important questions. If you have any more questions,
please contact the Nursery directly.

Are you open all year?

No, we are a Term Time setting, we work in line with Hampshire County Councils term dates and we have
to add 5 In Service Training days per academic year, all of which will be published well in advance.

What are your session times?

We do not operate on a sessional basis. We are an hourly setting, you can therefore choose the hours
that you wish your child to attend. Once these hours have been allocated, they cannot be changed
through the term but if we have spaces available and enough notice, we may be able to change them at
the beginning of the term

What Government grant payments do you accept?

We accept: Tax Free Childcare. 2 year old working parents grant. 2 year old funding for those on certain
benefits. 15 hours universal funding and 30 hours for working parents.

What hours are you open?

We are open from 08.00 until 16.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 to 15.00 on Friday.

How are your fees charged?

We only charge for hours over and above the free entitlement and this is charged on an hourly basis. We
also charge for a hot lunch and this is charged on a daily basis. You will be sent an invoice through our
online system called BabysDays, this will be received by the 15th of each month and is due for payment
by the 15th of the following month. Payments are made through online banking.

What do your fees include?

We supply fruit, milk and water as part of our Snack Bar. We do not supply nappies.

Do you have a minimum session requirement?

We would prefer if your child could attend for a minimum of twice a week. This will help with settling your
child.

Do you cater for allergies?

Yes we cater for all allergies and cultural requirements. This includes our Snack Bar and Lunches.

Do the children wear uniform?

We do have T Shirts and Sweatshirts for sale but uniform is not compulsory.
